Handsome Anderson Clothing

One of my best friends is an up and coming designer, he customizes everything from T-Shirts to leather jackets. I always get compliments when I wear pieces he's made for me so I decided to share his talents with you all :-)

GlamBistro: When did you begin designing?
Handome Anderson: I began designing about three & a half years ago when I got tired of reaching for the same outfits in my closet! I didn't have money to buy flashy and expensive stuff so I just made my own.

GB: What or who inspires you to create new pieces?
HA: Michael Jackson is the inspiration of some of my pieces but overall I am inspired by anything different or anything I've never seen before. I pretty much picture it in my head and make it come to life!

GB: How can someone order one of your pieces?
HA: Email me at lamontanderson210@yahoo.com. Any of my designs on denim and T-Shirts can be ordered over and over but my "The Glamorous Man" tuxedo shirts are only made in 3's so once I've made it for the 3rd time they can no longer be duplicated! I like knowing that only a select few own my tuxedo shirts.

this was designed for me :-)

GB: Who are your favorite designers?
HA: I don't have one, I may see different pieces that I like but no one in particular.

GB: Describe your personal style...
HA: Neat and simple by day, A touch of culture and color (especially in the summer time) but at night I'm a totally different Handsome Anderson! Lets just say I do a really good job at "fitting in but standing out" when it comes to the New York City Nightlife :-)

Budget Beauty

For years I had my nose in the air and would only purchase cosmetics from MAC or Sephora but within the last year or so I started testing out some drug store brands, NYX and Wet n Wild are my current favorites and verrrrryyyy expensive -  the quality of Wet n Wild’s lipstick for only $2.49 is mind blowing! A few products that I use and love are:

Color Icon Brow & Liner Pencil - This  pencil is waxy it defines my brows and keeps them in perfect position. I have it in a taupe color so my brows don’t look all Dracula-ish $0.99

Mega Last Lip Color - This  lipstick goes on smooth & creamy and lasts! $2.49

Color Icon Eye Shadow Trio -These little eye shadow trios are pigmented so well and they're also convenient $2.99

Mega Last Nail Color - ALL nail polish chips I'm not even gonna front but the "pro brush" makes it  soooo easy to apply $0.99

Perfect Pair Eye Wand - 1/2 eyeliner 1/2 cream shadow quick and easy $3.99

Matte Lipstick - This lipstick also goes on smoothly with a great matte finish it doesn't last too long tho $6.00

Soft Matte Lip Cream - I like to wear these over lipstick to give them a slightly different color I don't like them alone they don't give enough coverage for me $6.00

Mega Shine Lip Gloss - When I want a nude lip that's not matte this mega shine lip gloss is my fav it covers my lips fully and adds a hint of color (and the bow on the top is adorable) $5.50

Slim Eye Pencil - Sometimes I like to add a pop of color with these eye pencils but again they don't last long at all I have to touch up frequently $3.50

Natural Loose Powder - When applying my foundation I almost always go for a matte finish for years I've been looking for a good loose powder but they all made me look ashy and ghostly someone suggested this Kiss powder to me I was kind of skeptical but I tried it & fell in love it gives me the matte finish I'm looking for but still glowy not all ashy the only thing that annoys me is the mess the loose powder makes it gets everywhere -__- $5.99

Current Beauty Favs

  1. Wet n Wild lipstick color 902C (nude)
  2. Wet n Wild eye shadow trio in walking on eggshells
  3. Sephora Collection Bronzer (I’m not sure which color)
  4. Raw Shea Butter
  5. Baby Wipes

I recently discovered Wet n Wild , well actually I’ve been seeing it in drugstores for years but I never purchased anything until a few weeks ago. I got a few different shades of lipstick, eye shadow and an eyebrow pencil I love everything! But I’m currently addicted to the nude lipstick and nude eye shadow trio. I’ve been pairing it with the Sephora bronzer for a dewy Kimmie K. look.

I’ve been using raw shea butter, I originally purchased it to be used on a burn I have but I started putting it all over my skin to moisturize and it works wonders! My skin is hydrated and it’s starting to fade any blemishes I have.

I’ll admit I’m VERY lazy at night when it comes to washing my make-up off ! I know people have been using baby wipes to do this since forever but I personally just started and I looove it, it’s quick, gentle and it takes off every ounce of make up with just one wipe.

A major reason why these 5 items are my favs of the moment is because they are VERY inexpensive, the bronzer is the most expensive thing at $15 everything else is under $5 yes FIVE DOLLARS! ^_^

The Weekend I've Always Imagined

This past Saturday my oldest and dearest friend celebrated her Birthday which also happens to be Cinco De Mayo we definitely had a blast on Saturday between dinner, the Mayweather fight and too many shots. Sunday she and I headed to Atlantic City for a short getaway and we had a BALL! I promised myself I wouldn't over pack so I decided to keep my accessories to a minimum, looking back at the pics I wish I would've slightly over packed and brought different accessories with me because I wasn't really pleased with my outfits I still had a blast so eff it.

on the way to dinner
