Summer Beauty Faves. . .

Murad Oil-Control Mattifier (SPF 15) $39.50

I have really oily skin and in the summer its 369587 times worse…I recently started using this product and I must say it makes a huge difference. There’s two ways to use it, the first is to just put it on before applying any make-up as a primer/moisturizer OR you can mix it with your liquid foundation

MAC “up the amp” Lipstick $14.50

I love Love LOVE this color! Sometimes I wear it alone and sometimes I wear Estee Lauder High Gloss in 06 Jewel (which is discontinued) over it depending on my mood

IDK who this is but bay-be :-)

Nubian Princess

Every woman has her own style and that’s great, my personal style includes hair extensions, make-up, and trendy clothes. NO that does not make me and NO I don’t feel like I NEED those things. I think I’m fine without them I just prefer them. YES I perm my hair not because I wanna look like a white woman but because I don’t like the look of kinks it doesn’t work for me. Some women prefer short hair cuts and dreads because they want their inner beauty to show, I say if your inner is that beautiful it will show whether you’re dressed in drag or a paper bag. BUT these same women with these bald haircuts wear the scankiest clothes O_o I don’t get it, isn’t that defeating the whole purpose of your inner beauty image?? -gee let me cut my hair off but push my breasts up to my chin in the lowest cut shirt and the tightest dress OR let me dye my “natural” dread locks bright orange…why are you dying your “natural” hair tho?? Is it to look like the Kool-aid man? Yeah me and my relaxer are tryna look white and you and your candy colored hair are tryna look like a cartoon character. I just don’t understand. To each her own buuuuut don’t judge those of us who like to get glammed up by calling us “fake” and accuse us of selling out or trying to be white when your “demeaning” yourself in a different way. Hair, clothes, shoes, make-up, self image in general ; they are all ways to express yourself…..everyone is entitled to express themselves so don’t judge us for our expressions and we wont judge you for being too cheap and lazy to get your hair done and opting out for a $10 caesar -_-

Skinny Cow

I love this stuff! I'm on a diet, well actually Weight Watchers and Skinny Cow products are low in points (fat & calories) && high in taste. The ice cream cones, bars, cups AND the candy bars are all SO good & figure flattering. . . . who wouldn't love that??? give it a try ladies i'm sure you'll love it :-)

Apple Crisp

I just made this, it was pretty tasty I got the recipe from of course I tweaked it and added a few extra ingredients ; also I would suggest using red apples instead of the green Granny Smith's the original recipe calls for because they are very tart.

6 Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored, chopped (about 3 1/2 pounds)
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/4 cup maple syrup
I added a pinch of nutmeg and a teaspoon of vanilla extract

1 cup all-purpose flour
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon (I put a tablespoon)
1/4 teaspoon salt
8 tablespoons (1 stick) chilled butter, cut into pieces
1/4 cup coarsely chopped pecans

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Butter a 9 by 13-inch casserole dish. In a large bowl mix all the filling ingredients together and toss to coat all the apples. Pour in the prepared baking dish.

In a food processor combine the flour, brown sugar, cinnamon and salt in large bowl. Pulse to blend. Pulse in the butter until mixture forms pea size lumps. Add the pecans and pulse 1 or 2 more times. Sprinkle over filling. Bake crisp for 45 to 50 minutes. Cool 10 minutes before serving.

I also made some whipped cream to top it off :-)

It's June first....the countdown to my BDay/Vacation begins :-D

no longer Queen*

Maxi Dresses. . . . .

OK so it's summer and my go to pieces are maxi dresses, cool & comfortable. I'm 5'7 so the length is always just right for ME. BUT I see too many short chicks rocking maxis that are dragging the floor do your self a favor and get them hemmed. YES maxis flatter all body types but they look horrible when they are frayed at the bottom from being stepped on. GET them hemmed shorties* also if you buy cheap dresses that you can see through please put a slip on under it, I do not wanna see your draws. . . . . . .these are small investments that will go along way, trust me. Here'sa few that I have my eye on
